UPDATE: Two Injured After Two-Vehicle Accident In Atwood

ATWOOD — Two people were injured after a two-vehicle accident in Atwood on Monday afternoon.
At 1:43 p.m. Monday, April 8, emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident at US 30 and CR 700W.
Preliminary investigation by Indiana State Police Trooper Tim Carpenter indicates a white 2006 Dodge Ram was traveling south on CR 700W when it failed to yield and pulled into the path of a white 2020 Toyota Corolla. The Corolla was traveling east on US 30 at the time.
The Ram’s driver, Virgil Slabaugh, 28, Warsaw, was uninjured in the accident. The Corolla’s driver, Jason Litchfield, 34, Royal Oak, Mich., and a front seat passenger in the Corolla were taken to Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
