James Edward Groendyke, 80, Roanoke, Va., formerly of Wabash County, died at 10:22 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Star City Rehabilitation, Roanoke, Va.

He was was born Jan. 12, 1944.

He is survived by his sisters, Cheryl Gordon, Roanoke, Va., and Nancyanna Townsend, Montpelier; two nephews; a niece; and two great-nephews.

Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, is handling arrangements.
