He was born on April 14, 1933, in Muncie. He was one of seven children born to Edna (Fine) Lee and William Anderson Lee. Roy married Linda Hoagland, and they had 37 years together before she passed away in August of 1989. He was blessed to have found someone to spend his life with again and married Nancy Jo Nelson on Jan. 1, 1990. They shared 34 years together before Roy passed away.
Roy was a Korean veteran and enlisted in the U.S. Army on Jan. 14, 1954. He proudly served until his honorable discharge on Jan. 7, 1956. He spent his life as a pastor in the United Methodist Church and like the apostle Paul, did church planting on his missionary journeys. Roy attended Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Northern Indiana Methodist Conference.
He was a kind man, with love in his heart for spreading the Word. He had a great sense of humor and made a big impact on this world in his 90 years. Roy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and a friend to many. He would most want to be remembered for his faith in his savior Jesus Christ and is now rewarded with his eternal home in heaven.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nancy Jo Lee, Warsaw; two sons, Michael (Cheryl) Lee, Albany, Ga., and Emmett Dean Lee, Phoenix; daughter, Mary Katherine (Randy) Amburn, Parker City; two stepsons, Dan (Geraldine) Nelson, Warsaw, and Joe (Janet) Nelson, Warsaw; and his stepdaughter, Annette (Kurt) Feneley, LaPorte.
