ATWOOD — At least one person was injured after a two-vehicle accident in Atwood on Monday afternoon.

Just before 1:45 p.m. Monday, April 8, Atwood Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at US 30 and CR 700W, Atwood.

A white car sustained heavy front-end damage and a white truck was flipped onto its side in the collision.

A medical helicopter was initially called to the scene but disregarded. One of the drivers was taken via ground ambulance to a hospital in Fort Wayne.

Also assisting at the scene were the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, Etna Township Fire Department, Lutheran EMS, and Indiana State Police.
