Gary Shipley

CEDAR LAKE — A statewide Silver Alert has been declared for a Hobart man.

The Cedar Lake Police Department is investigating the disappearance of Gary Shipley, a 77-year-old white man who is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. He has gray hair and green eyes, and was last seen wearing a black and white hoodie jacket with jeans and gym shoes. He is driving a gray 2021 Nissan Frontier pickup truck with Indiana license TK289OKN.

Shipley is missing from Hobart, which is 148 miles northwest of Indianapolis, and was last seen at 2:25 p.m. April 1. He is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance.
