News Release
MILFORD — Solar eclipse glasses are available to Milford Public Library patrons who show their library card at the desk. A limit of two pair of glasses per family has been set. Glasses are available beginning Monday, April 1. These glasses are provided by the library and the Friends of Milford Public Library.

The most recent winner in the Adult Reading Club is Deb Young. She won a puzzle adventure and took home a jigsaw puzzle. Photo provided by the library.
The glasses conform to and meet the transmission requirements of ISO 12312-2 filters for direct viewing of the sun. Children must be supervised by adults to ensure the glasses are used safely. Total solar eclipses occur once every two years or so at different places above the Earth’s surface. The total solar eclipse over Indiana begins at 3:01 p.m. (approximately) on Monday, April 8, with the final exit of the moon’s shadow at 3:12 p.m.
