WARSAW — A Claypool man was flown from the scene of a single-vehicle accident south of Warsaw on Monday morning.

At 5:58 a.m. Monday, March 25, Casey Shepherd, 55, Claypool, was traveling north on Ferguson Road in a Ford Edge when he swerved his vehicle to avoid hitting a deer.

Shepherd’s vehicle left the roadway, hitting a tree. He was flown to Fort Wayne Lutheran for leg injuries, and neck and abdominal pain.
