Wilson deserves to be the next county coroner
Dear Editor,
Tyler Huffer invited myself, Aime Hoffman and Molly Bradford to breakfast at the Red Apple in Warsaw.
He wanted to know what we thought about him running for township trustee. Tyler also stated that he didn’t know if he should run for Wayne or Plain Township. What? He said I can run for either and we said no, you have to live in the township. He said, I live both places. We said, decide where you live and run if you want to but don’t run a dirty campaign!
Tyler ran a dirty campaign on social media against Jerry Kammerer. Jerry’s wife Cindy was battling cancer and she was highly stressed from all the bad publicity and nasty comments on social media caused by Tyler.
Tyler filed a formal complaint to the County Clerk Ann Torpy. This also was stressful on the Kammerer Family but also included 16 other candidates who did not file the financial campaign papers. Tyler thought he was just hurting Jerry! Ann had no choice because of Tyler to pull all of us into a hearing. Tyler Huffer was called on that day for filing the complaint and he was a NO SHOW to the hearing. That’s not very professional!
We were all excused by the County Election Board at that hearing. Any other year Ann and her office would have just called us to remind us to bring the paperwork in. Yes, I was one of those candidates that year because for the first time ever after I filed the papers the day I registered for the election I was called back to the counter and told they would have to white out my received stamp and I would have to bring it back later. I brought it home and put it on my desk and forgot about it. This past election registration I was able to file that day just like I have always done in the past.
Tyler only cares about himself and having a “Title,” getting his picture taken and hurting others that are in his way.
Tracy Cutler Wilson has more experience, compassion and integrity, she deserves to be our next county coroner!
Correction On Letter To Editor
I stated in my previous letter to the Editor that the County Coroner Caucus vote was a total of 68 precinct committeemen and women and the vote difference was by three votes. I made a mistake and stand corrected. That was not an intentional mistake!
The vote total was 56! Tracy Cutler Wilson had 21 votes, Jason McGlennen had three votes and Tyler Huffer had 32 votes. It took some digging to get the actual counts and they come from Mike Ragan. These are not kept at the county clerks office so I was going from what someone thought they remembered. Mike and I met for coffee and he gave me the correct count!
I sincerely apologize
