Carter McCorkle — UPDATED
Carter McCorkle, age 21, and a lifetime resident of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17, 2024.
Carter was born to Jason McCorkle and Regina (Laughlin) McCorkle. He was a 2020 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. He attended building trade classes and loved concrete work. He had recently taken a job as a concrete finisher for Heiman Construction
He was a hard worker and played hard, too. He enjoyed most anything outdoors. When he wasn’t working, he could be found fishing or spending time in the lake and pool. He was close with a core group of friends with whom you could find him regularly — biking the trails, fishing, boating and simply hanging out. All of his friends and family remember Carter for his ability to light up a room; he had incredible charisma and a good sense of humor.
Carter had a special, close relationship with his brother, McClain, who survives, as do his parents, Jason and Regina McCorkle. In addition, his paternal grandmother, June McCorkle, and his maternal grandparents, Jim (Rexeen) Laughlin, survive, as does a large extended family including many aunts, uncles and cousins … all survive with broken hearts. He was preceded in passing by his paternal grandfather, Robert McCorkle.
Titus Funeral Home, 2000 Sheridan St., Warsaw, is entrusted with arrangements. Visitors may gather to support the family from 3-7 p.m. Saturday, March 23. There will be a gathering at Warsaw Moose Lodge following the viewing.
While flowers are welcomed, memorial gifts should be considered to the Moose Heart Charity.
