Press Release
WARSAW — Get ready for an unforgettable evening of empowerment and philanthropy as United Way presents two extraordinary Power of the Purse events, poised to create positive change in the lives of children and families across Whitley and Kosciusko Counties.
Whitley County’s Power of the Purse event will be held from 6:30-9:30 p.m. April 25, at the Eagle Glen Clubhouse in Columbia City.
Kosciusko County’s Power of the Purse event will be held from 6:30-9:30 p.m. May 2, at the Blue Barn Berry Farm in Syracuse.
“Power of the Purse is where women are empowered to support dynamic efforts to change the lives of children and families,” said Juli Eckel, Women United Chair. “It’s fun and energizing. There’s time to connect, enjoy food, and win amazing prizes.”
At the heart of Power of the Purse is the highly anticipated designer purse raffle, featuring an array of spectacular purses generously donated by the community. Each raffle ticket represents a chance to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
United Way cordially invites the public to join them for an evening of celebration and giving back. Tables of eight are available for $600, which includes dinner, the raffle, and a brief program. Individual tickets will also be available for purchase starting March 25.
“We believe that when women come together with a shared purpose, they have the power to create meaningful and lasting change,” said Mandy Wilkie, United Way business development executive. “Power of the Purse is a unique opportunity for women to connect, celebrate their philanthropic spirit, and make a tangible difference in their community.”
