Rochester Woman Arrested For Allegedly Removing GPS Monitoring Device
Staff Report
ROCHESTER — A Rochester woman was recently arrested for allegedly cutting off her Fulton County Community Corrections’ GPS monitoring device.
Leslie Marie Morgan, 35, 910 Maplewood Lane, Rochester, is charged with escape, a level 6 felony.
On March 4, a Fulton County Community Corrections case manager said Morgan cut off her GPS unit on her monitoring device shortly after 9 p.m. March 3. About two hours later, Morgan sent the case manager an email saying she messed up and cut her GPS unit strap. The case manager told Morgan to report to probation on March 4.
According to court documents, Morgan said she cut her GPS unit off because she was having personal problems and being on home detention was taking a toll on her.
Morgan was booked in the Fulton County Jail on March 4.
