Rochester Man Arrested On Drug Charges

ROCHESTER — A Rochester man was recently arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop.
Quentin Rayne Nichols, 24, 2183 W. 500N, Rochester, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; trafficking with an inmate, a class A misdemeanor; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
On March 9, a Fulton County Sheriff’s Office deputy was patrolling the northwest side of Fulton County when he noticed a speeding vehicle and pulled it over. The driver was identified as Nichols.
According to court documents, law enforcement discovered that Nichols had a warrant out of Kosciusko County for failure to appear. While searching Nichols’ person, officers found a marijuana grinder. Marijuana was also found in Nichols’ vehicle.
Prior to being taken into custody at the Fulton County Jail, deputies asked Nichols if he had any additional illegal items on his person. Nichols said he did not. While jail staff conducted the booking process, they found a bag containing meth inside Nichols’ clothing.
Nichols was booked in the Fulton County Jail on March 9.
