Timothy M. Carter — UPDATED

Tim Carter
Timothy Michael Carter, 64, Warsaw, known to most simply as “Tim,” passed away unexpectedly just two and a half weeks after his mother, with whom he was very close. He passed away at Mason Health and Rehabilitation in Warsaw on Monday, March 4, 2024.
Tim was born in Warsaw on July 10, 1959, to Harry T. Carter and Rosalie “Rose” (Snyder) Carter. Tim was a proud graduate of Warsaw Community High School and held a deep love for his hometown throughout his life.
Tim lived a life filled with simple joys and passions. He was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and had an immense appreciation for all genres of music. His Christian faith was central to him and he enjoyed attending church services and listening to gospel music. Those who knew him best would also attest to his good sense of humor and his slightly ornery nature.
In addition to his parents, Harry and Rose Carter, Tim was preceded in passing by his sister, Christina Carter. Those who survive with memories to cherish include two brothers, Brian Carter and Ric (Deb) Carter, both of Warsaw. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews; 19 great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew — each of whom shared a special place in Tim’s heart.
Friends and family may gather for a graveside service at Oakwood Cemetery, 421 N. Maple Ave., Warsaw, on Friday, March 8. The graveside service will begin at 11 a.m. Those wishing to attend may assemble just inside the cemetery gates at 10:50 a.m as the staff will lead a procession to the grave site.
