Magazine Recognizes Wabash As A Top ‘Micropolitan’
News Release
WABASH — The city of Wabash has been recognized as one of the Top 100 Micropolitans by Site Selection magazine, according to a news item from Grow Wabash County.
Site Selection, a 70-year-old, Atlanta-based magazine, delivers expansion planning information to executives of growing firms.
The magazine ranks and recognizes top states in capital investment activity, as well as leading metropolitan and micropolitan areas.
In the magazine’s 2023 ranking of Top Micropolitans — cities of 10,000 to 50,000 people that cover at least one county — communities were ranked by their number of qualifying development projects.
Wabash claimed a spot, along with a number of other communities, for having two projects. Plymouth also was ranked for having two projects.
The city of Warsaw made the list for having five projects, and Angola was recognized for having 10 projects.
Findlay, Ohio, claimed the top spot with 25 projects.
