Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• Wednesday, Feb. 28, West US 30 and North CR 950W, Etna Green. Driver: Grace A. Lidgett, 19, Eighth Street, Traer, Iowa. Lidgett’s vehicle struck an object in the roadway. Damages up to $5,000.
• 10:46 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, North CR 175E and East CR 450N, Warsaw. Drivers: Julia Busse, 57, North CR 400E, Warsaw; and Thomas Hobart, 47, North Warsaw Oswego Road, Warsaw. Buesse’s vehicle reversed into Hobarts’ vehicle at a stop sign. Damages up to $5,000.
• 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, North SR 13 and South Barbee Drive, North Webster. Driver: Michael P. Boyle, 31, North CR 650E, Syracuse. Boyle’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages up to $5,000.
• 6:38 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, South SR 15 and West CR 1300S, Silver Lake. Driver: Saul Uriostegue-Brito, 37, South Meadow Drive, Warasw. Uriostegue-Brito’s vehicle hit a deer. Damages up to $10,000.
• 12:03 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, East CR 500N and North CR 750E, North Webster. Driver: Russel Sproat, 19, EMS B42 Lane, Leesburg. Sproat’s vehicle hit a patch of ice and slid off the road into a utility pole. Sproat declined medical treatment on scene. Damages up to $100,000.
• 9:55 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, East US 30 and North CR 350W, Warsaw. Driver: Ronald D. Bull, 70, East Roland Drive, Glendale Heights, Ill.. Bull lost control of his vehicle, which spun approximately 180 degrees and landed in ditch. Bull was checked out by EMT’s on scene. Damages up to $10,000.
• 8:33 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, West US 30 and North CR 350W, Warsaw. Driver: Melendez Portillo, 48, Holly Pines Drive, Chesterfield, Va.. Portillo’s vehicle lost control on ice near an intersection, slid through the median and struck a highway sign. Damages up to $50,000.

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 6:55 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27 North SR 19 and East CR 100N, Akron. Driver: Zachary W. Gothan, 35, Akron. Gothan’s motorcycle hit a deer.
• 7:05 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, North SR 25 and East CR 700N, Rochester. Driver:  Troy A. Turnipseed, 23, Rochester. Turnipseed’s vehicle hit a deer.
• 6:59 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26, East CR 350S and South CR 900E, Akron. Driver: Jackie A. Holloway, 30, Akron. Holloway’s vehicle hit a deer.
