WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was recently arrested for allegedly attempting to use counterfeit money to purchase food at a restaurant.
Tiffiany Page Kneller, 41, 2956 W. 250S Apartment 3, Warsaw, is charged with counterfeiting, a level 6 felony.
On Dec. 1, 2023, a Warsaw Police officer responded to an Arby’s restaurant regarding a woman, later identified as Kneller, attempting to pay for her food by using counterfeit money. A restaurant employee said he could tell the money was counterfeit due to its feel and incorrect corners. The employee took the money to the restaurant’s general manager.
According to court documents, when the manager confronted Kneller about the money, Kneller allegedly said the money was given to her through a Facebook Marketplace sale. The manager asked Kneller to provide proof of the sale, but Kneller was unable to provide that information. Kneller then left the scene.
An employee at the restaurant knew Kneller and was able to help the manager positively identify Kneller as the suspect.
Kneller was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Feb. 19.
