Milford Public Library — Story Time Theme Is ‘Ice’
News Release
MILFORD — Get ready to shiver as the story time theme for Wednesday, Feb. 21 is “Ice” at Milford Public Library.
Children ages 3-6 are invited to come and bring a friend at 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Come and make popsicle stick ice skates and enjoy an ice cream treat. Listen to Miss Maureen read some chilly stories.
If you and your family attend at least three of the six sessions of winter story time, you will earn a new book to take home and add to your home library.
LEGO Challenge
The LEGO challenge for February is to create a rose. All photos of creations must be submitted by 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24. The winner will take home a new LEGO kit.
Adult Reading Club
Stop by the library and sign up for the Adult Reading Club. MPL will have weekly drawings for prizes through March 30. If you are 18 years of age or older, you can sign up. For each book you read, or eBook or audiobook you listen to, you can drop a drawing slip in the container on the desk. Each week the library staff will draw a name at 6 p.m. Friday. That person will be invited to come in and spin the “Wheel of Adventure” to determine their prize.
Valentine’s Day Drawing
Winners of the Valentine’s Day drawing are Evelyn Miller and Eric Slabaugh. Miller won “Dieric,” a dragon Squishmallow, and Slabaugh won a box of Hershey’s milk chocolate hearts.
