Area Accident Reports
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 6:19 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, Anchorage Road, near Meijer Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Christina G. Chavez, 40, West Old Road 30 Lot 651, Warsaw. Chavez’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $2,500.
- 9:53 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, North Lake Street, near Meadow Lark Boulevard, Warsaw. Drivers: Emilio C. Macedonio, 39, Flamingo Drive, Warsaw; and Jarod S. Werner, 25, Lynn Lane, Warsaw. Macedonio disregarded a stop sign at North Lake Street and Meadow Lark Boulevard, causing a collision. Macedonio was taken to Fort Wayne Lutheran Hospital for back pain. Werner said his mouth hurt and was checked by medics at the scene. Damage up to $25,000.
- 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, Wexford Place, near Pioneer Lane, Warsaw. Driver: Alford E. Howard, 63, East Old Colony Road, Warsaw. Howard’s vehicle left the roadway, hitting several large landscape rocks and the Forest Park entrance sign. Damage up to $2,500.
Elkhart County
Officers with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accident:
- 7:07 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, US 33 and CR 42, Benton. Drivers: Eric Trentz, 56, Westfield; and Isiah Zimmerman, 24, Nappanee. Trentz’s vehicle struck the driver’s side of Zimmerman’s vehicle after driving left of center. Trentz reported being in pain.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 6:26 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 3000 block North SR 25, Rochester. Driver: Jocelyn M. Beemer, 45, Warsaw. Beemer’s vehicle hit a deer.
- 5:54 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 900 block Fortna Drive, Rochester. Driver: Tracy Risner, 52, Rochester. Risner’s vehicle hit a parked car while backing up.
