Whitko Student Spotlight: Senior Enjoys Getting His Hands Dirty On The Job

SOUTH WHITLEY — Kaiden Barnhart, a senior at Whitko Junior-Senior High School, has been working at Horizon Landscapes, Pierceton, for more than a year.
Barnhart works closely with customers laying rock and mulch, plowing snow in the winter, loading trucks, performing maintenance on equipment and offering landscaping advice. He prefers hands-on work and says his current role at Horizon Landscapes is conditioning him to have a strong work ethic. Barnhart also notes that learning to work in a variety of weather conditions is equipping him to be successful in a multitude of work environments.
After graduation, Barnhart hopes to go directly into the workforce and utilize his welding pathway earned at Whitko Career Academy.
