On Jan. 31, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a location north of Rochester regarding a report about several gunshots being heard near a vacant residence. A vehicle was at the residence and left the scene.
According to court documents, a deputy found the suspect vehicle traveling 85 mph in a 55 mph zone. The vehicle’s driver did not stop for law enforcement and continued traveling at a high rate of speed. Eventually, the vehicle parked at a church and its driver attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. Driver was later identified as the vehicle’s operator.
When asked about a firearm, Driver said he ditched it. A K9 unit was used to find the firearm, which was a fully automatic Glock 19. Driver admitted to shooting the firearm at the residence and said he took off because he was scared.
