North Webster Community Public Library — Still Time To Earn Prizes In Adult Winter Reading Program

NORTH WEBSTER — The North Webster Community Public Library extends a warm invitation to all literature enthusiasts to participate in the final stretch of the Adult Winter Reading program. There’s still time to join and be in the running for some fantastic prizes.
Running until Feb. 29, the Adult Winter Reading program encourages participants to indulge in the enjoyment of reading. Choose any genre that piques your interest, from captivating novels to insightful non-fiction. Earn incentive prizes as you go, plus earn drawing tickets for the grand prize drawings.
For an added bonus, complete puzzle challenges such as word searches, crosswords and coloring sheets for extra grand prize drawing tickets. The library aims to create a communal space where the joy of reading is celebrated. Residents are invited to visit the library, explore the vast array of literary treasure and take part in this engaging program.

Weekly Library Events
The following activities are set to take place at the library. Attendees do not need to have a library card to participate in any of these events.
Adult Events
Beat the Winter “Blues” day will be happening from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6. Keep your brain active this winter by doing crafts, playing games, doing puzzles and learning new skills. No registration required — just drop in for the fun.
Roots & Branches genealogy club will be meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7. Come learn how to trace your ancestors and complete your family tree. This program is perfect for those new to genealogy as well as seasoned veterans.
Exercise classes will be happening at the library this week. Get Fit While You Sit chair exercise will be meeting at 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8. Let’s Move Dance class will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8. These classes are free and open to the public, no library card required.
Teen Events
Have the after-school blues? Stop by on Mondays between 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 29, to hang out with friends, play board games and battle in Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch. Feel free to bring your games to play. Snacks, coffee and pop will be provided.
Ready to spread some library love this Valentine’s Day? Join in for a Library Love Notes event at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7. Grab a pen, write some heartwarming messages and hide encouragement in books around the library during this fun interactive event.
Children’s Events
Certified therapy dog, Irish, will be waiting for you during the PAWS-to-Read program on Mondays starting Feb. 5 and ending April 29. This event provides a comfortable and judgment-free zone for kids to read and interact with Irish. Sign up for 15 minute appointments that take place between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Mondays.
Story times will be returning in February. Baby and Toddler Time will be meeting at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays starting Feb. 6. Preschool storytime will be meeting at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays starting Feb. 7. Registration is appreciated, but visitors are always welcome.
LEGO Time will be happening at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 10. Builders ages 5-12 are invited to the library for creative LEGO fun. LEGOs will be provided.
