Sherri “Renee” Fugate

Sherri “Renee” (Adams) Fugate, 47, of Ligonier, passed away on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at Goshen Hospital.

Sherri was born on Dec. 27, 1976, in Columbia City to Sherry (Sutton) and Joseph Adams.

She was a graduate of Warsaw Community High School.

She worked as a bus aide for Warsaw Community Schools. Sherri enjoyed painting and was involved in 4-H, being the leader of Shooting Sports and Rabbit Club.

Sherri will be lovingly remembered by her companion, Larry Newman; children, Schyler (Kenley) Fugate and Greg (Dawn Fisher) Newman; brother, Lacie Adams; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her mother, Sherry Adams; daughter, Brittanie Fugate; brother, Joseph Adams; and grandson, RykerJay Newman.

A celebration of life will be from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapels, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw. Funeral services in celebration of Sherri’s life will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, in the funeral chapel with Rob Seewald officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery.
