WARSAW — Here at the Warsaw Community Public Library we love to provide activities and events for the whole family. If you are looking for a fun place to get out of the cold, this is the place.
We will be continuing with preschool and toddler story times, as well as with Busy Bricks. Check warsawlibrary.org for dates and times.
For the tweens and teens, we will have a visit from Sally Gratz Garcia, author of “Mercy Markos and the Blades of Betrayal” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6. See a live interview with Sally and learn her process, with a question-and-answer time following.
The teens will be able to enjoy a fun DC v. Marvel trivia and debate time at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, and an Uno tournament at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20.
We will have a few programs this month aimed at adults. At 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, will be a time for discussing health and wellness in the new year. There will be a classic movie and popcorn at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15. Check warsawlibrary.org for the title of this wonderful Humphrey Bogart/Katherine Hepburn classic. We will also be offering an eight-week “A Matter of Balance” series led by Real Services for seniors who are concerned about falling. Please register for the first class on Wednesday, Feb. 21, and you will automatically be registered for the series. This is also a great learning opportunity for caregivers. Finally, we will be hosting a traditional Indian tea at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23. Tea, snacks and an easy craft will be enjoyed.
We also love to host family activities. We will have Dannielle Robertson returning to the library with some amazing props and costumes she has created from mattress pads. Dannielle has been a part of the entertainment industry since the age of 4. She has lent her talents to a variety of mediums, including radio, commercials, television, blockbuster movies and area theaters. “Masterpieces with Mattress Pads” will be at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 26. We will also have another family board game night at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27.
All events are free, but may require registration. Check warsawlibrary.org for event details. We would love to see you in February at the library.
