Big Brothers Big Sisters Plans Bowl for Kids’ Sake Feb. 24 In Warsaw
News Release
WARSAW — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana will host its annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraiser in Kosciusko County on Saturday, Feb. 24, at The Bowling Alley in Warsaw.
Sponsored by Pro Resources, Bowl for Kids’ Sake is the largest annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Participants register as teams of five and are provided a fundraising webpage, which can be shared on social media or via email and text. Each individual participant is encouraged to raise $100 per person, for a total goal of $500 per team. For teams that think they can raise more, there are options to sign up for “Kids’ Champs” and “Super Teams,” which pledge to raise $5,000 and $2,500 per team respectively.
All money raised supports Big Brothers Big Sisters in its mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships for youth. With more than 500 children on the waiting list, Big Brothers Big Sisters has created an additional fundraising page for those who wish to help but are not interested in bowling. The “Team Waiting List Littles” page is open for donations.
For fundraising teams that do decide to bowl, Bowl for Kids’ Sake offers a free night of cosmic bowling, free pop or beer, pizza and prizes. Raffle tickets will be for sale, and everyone who attends will receive some kind of prize, whether it’s for scoring the highest or sinking the most gutter balls. Everyone is encouraged to raise funds and join the party, not just Bigs.
In Kosciusko County, Bowl for Kids’ Sake will take place from 1-3 p.m. and from 4-6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at The Bowling Alley, Detroit Street, Warsaw.
