Syracuse
Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 1:58 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, North Syracuse-Webster Road and West Railroad Avenue, Syracuse. Drivers: Juan A. Calderon, 23, East Levi Lee Road, Warsaw; and Jeremy W. Doerr, 50, North CR 500E, Syracuse. Calderon was traveling west on Railroad Avenue and failed to see Doerr’s vehicle traveling south on Syracuse-Webster Road. Calderon drove into the path of Doerr’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 4:37 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, South Huntington Street and West Chicago Street, Syracuse. Drivers: John P. Deming, 54, East Pickwick Road, Syracuse; and Logan E. Haab, 23, CR 27, Syracuse. Deming was backing his vehicle from a parking space at the same time Haab was backing his plow truck to continue plowing the parking lot. Both vehicles collided in the parking lot at McClure’s Gas Station. Damage up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 7:34 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, Husky Trail, near North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Ian S. Stabler, 22, Fawley Street, Warsaw; and Mitchell S. Reinholt, 36, East CR 75N, Warsaw. Stabler stopped at the Husky Trail and North Parker Street intersection, but did not see Reinholt traveling east on Husky Trail. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:08 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, SR 15, near East Main Street, Warsaw. Drivers: James A. Evans, 55, South Columbia Street Apartment 3, Warsaw; and Michele N. Johnson, 44, Dowling Street, Kendallville. Evans and Johnson both said the light at the SR 15 and East Main Street intersection was green for them when their vehicles collided. No witnesses stayed on scene to verify which driver had the green light. Damage up to $10,000.
- 12:57 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, SR 15, south of East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Andrea L. Reed, 36, South Woodland Hills Drive East, Warsaw; and William M. Reynolds, 51, South Southwood Drive, Warsaw. Reed’s vehicle rear-ended Reynolds’. Damage up to $10,000.
- 11:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, Hepler Drive, near Dot Street, Warsaw. Driver: Adrian Saloma, 20, East CR 200N Lot 188, Warsaw. Saloma’s vehicle slid off the roadway, hitting two mailboxesDamage up to $5,000.
- 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, South CR 250E, near US 30, Warsaw. Drivers: David Barrett, 27, South CR 250E, Winona Lake; and Donald C. Gerst, 79, Jean Street, Winona Lake. Barrett was attempting to make a right turn onto South CR 250E when his vehicle slid into Gerst’s. Damage up to $2,500.
- 3:31 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, South Logan Street, north of Rozella Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Aaron E. Pena, 17, South Country Club Road, Warsaw; and Hunter M. Dippon, 17, Flamingo Drive, Warsaw. Pena’s vehicle rear-ended Dippon’s. A passenger in Dippon’s vehicle, Adelynn L. Williams, 17, Warsaw, complained of neck pain and was taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
- 5:40 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, South CR 900W, south of West CR 25S, Mentone. Driver: Linda L. Alto, 80, South CR 900W, Mentone. Alto’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
- 6:50 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, CR 300N, near Escalade Way, Warsaw. Drivers: Cherity J. Cain, 48, Saint Mary’s Drive, Warsaw; and William E. Wright, 50, East CR 575N, Leesburg. Cain stopped at the Escalade Way and CR 300N intersection, but did not see Wright’s vehicle traveling east on CR 300N. Damage up to $10,000.
- 6:43 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, Jalynn Street, near Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Drivers: Kanesha M. Moody, 32, Sophie Lane, Warsaw; and Katerine Del Carmen, 33, Tippe Downs Drive, Warsaw. Moody stopped at the Jalynn Street and Walton Boulevard intersection, but did not see Del Carmen’s vehicle traveling east on Jalynn Street. Moody complained of head and knee pain, but said she would seek medical assistance on her own. Del Carmen complained of pain and a passenger in her vehicle, Luis Santiago, 7, Warsaw, sustained minor injuries. Del Carmen and Santiago were taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. Damage up to $25,000.
- 3:37 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, SR 15, south of Gilliam Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: John F. Hoy, 17, Country Club Terrace, Warsaw; and Logan M. Mast, 19, East Fourth Street, Milford. Hoy’s vehicle rear-ended Mast’s. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, North SR 15, at Miler Marker 0, Warsaw. Drivers: Tammy C. Wallace, 50, North Columbia Street, Warsaw; and Suzanne G. Leslie, 67, East Epworth Forest Road, North Webster. Wallace’s vehicle rear-ended Leslie’s. Damage up to $10,000.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 3:51 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, Old US 31, Rochester. Driver: Kyeliem R. Murphy, 16, Kewanna. Murphy crashed his vehicle into an occupied building.
- 1:29 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, Olson Road, Rochester. Driver: Keegan A. Laird, 23, Rochester. Laird’s vehicle struck a utility pole. The pole is still up, no wires hanging, but the pole was moved at the base about six inches.
- 6:18 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, SR 114 and CR 1425E, Akron. Drivers: Luis A. Garcia, 24, no town listed; and Chad G. Vawter, 47, Roann. Garcia’s semitractor/trailer struck a vehicle driven by Vawter. Initial reports were that everyone was all right. Later, two people in Vawter’s vehicle complained of chest pain and one complained of leg pain. Garcia took off on foot and was later located by drone.
- 9:43 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, SR 25, Rochester. Driver: Joshua M. Richman, 49, Kokomo. Richman’s vehicle struck an REMC pole and lines were reported on the vehicle.
