NORTH WEBSTER — In a resounding display of community support, The Watershed Foundation has announced the results of its annual Business Match Challenge – with more than $45,000 raised in support of clean, healthy lakes in Kosciusko, Whitley and Noble Counties in northern Indiana.

“This year, we saw an incredible turnout with 61 generous individuals contributing to our cause during the holiday season. We’re equally excited to share that 18 local businesses & individuals actively participated as sponsors of our Business Match Challenge, demonstrating their commitment to environmental stewardship,” said Lyn Crighton, executive director of The Watershed Foundation.

2023 sponsors included: Ace Hardware North Webster, Aquatic Weed Control, Bartel Printing, Beyond Landscaping, Barbee Lakes Property Owners Association, Creighton Brothers, Eli Kitt, EP Graphics, Ethan Kitt, Knapp Supply Company, Lake City Bank, Lakeland Pier & Lift, Lake Tippecanoe Property Owners, Metcalf Payne & Bell Inc., ProWake Watersports, Smoker Craft, The Papers and Wihebrink Landscape Management.

The collective efforts of The Watershed Foundation’s donors and sponsor partners resulted in an impressive total of $45,886.40 this holiday season, providing crucial support for The Watershed Foundation’s mission to preserve and protect our vital water resources. This was a 16% increase over last year’s campaign.

“This remarkable achievement underscores the power of collaboration between our dedicated supporters and local businesses, showcasing the positive impact we can achieve when working together,” added Crighton.

Your commitment ensures that The Watershed Foundation can continue its vital work in safeguarding our watersheds for current and future generations.
