SYRACUSE — The Syracuse Knights of Columbus and the Wawasee Kiwanis are hosting basketball competitions Saturday, Jan. 20, at the Wawasee Middle School. Registration for both competitions start at 1:30 p.m. with competitions starting at 2 p.m.

The Syracuse Knights of Columbus is hosting a free throw contest and the Wawasee Kiwanis is hosting a hot shot competition. The hot shot will have competitors taking shots from various parts of the basketball court in a 60-second timed event.

The free throw contest is open to boys and girls aged 9 to 14 and the hot shot is open to boys and girls in grades first through eighth. Participants are welcome to participate in both competitions. The winners of the free throw contest will advance to district, regional and state competitions.
