Two From North Webster Arrested For Theft From Warsaw Menards

WARSAW — Two people from North Webster were recently arrested for allegedly stealing from the Warsaw Menards store.
Dwayne Allen Cooper Jr., 37, 411 S. East St., North Webster, is charged with theft, a class A misdemeanor; and theft with a prior conviction, a level 6 felony.
Alysa Marie Leon, 33, 5583 N. 825E, North Webster, is charged with theft, a class A misdemeanor.
On Nov. 6, 2023, a Warsaw detective responded to a theft report at Menards.
According to court documents, Leon returned an electrical tandem breaker, valued at $80, to the store without a receipt.
Surveillance footage showed Cooper going to the store’s electrical section and removing an item from a shelf. Cooper left the store without paying for the item and entered a vehicle parked near the front of the store. Leon and a child then immediately exited the vehicle, with Leon returning the electrical tandem breaker without a receipt.
Cooper was previously convicted of theft in Kosciusko County in March 2021.
Cooper and Leon were both booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Jan. 3, 2024.
