Area Police Reports
Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 9:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 600 block of North Zimmer Road, Warsaw. The theft of a firearm was reported.
- 4:28 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, 200 block of West Main Street, Warsaw. Criminal mischief occurred at the Kosciusko County Jail.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following incidents:
- 12:35 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 8900 block of CR 600N, Culver. A homeowner reported someone keeps coming to his door. One time a gentleman came and said he was looking for a German shepherd. Another time he came to the home and said he was supposed to meet someone there.
- 6:55 p.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 4400 block of CR 250E, Rochester. A homeowner reported she let individuals stay with her for two days. They stole an iPad, gift cards and a commemorative pocket watch. An officer spoke with the homeowner who was irate because the officer stated he would document the stolen items and gave her options with eviction.
- 12:53 p.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 4400 block of CR 250E, Rochester. A woman reported her daughter came and took her 5-month old puppy that she has paperwork for. The daughter lives out of state.
- 10:02 a.m. Monday, Jan. 1, 6100 block of South Birch Lane, Rochester. An individual notified police he was selling a camper to an individual who is a sex offender. The individual has not made any payments on the camper, but moved into it. The caller reported he just discovered the buyer was a sex offender and he does not want him there. The caller was advised of his options.
- 6:35 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, 3200 block of Wabash Avenue, Rochester. A property owner reported there were vehicles coming onto his property that shouldn’t be there. He has pictures of the vehicles and would like to speak to an officer when not busy to see what can be done.
- 12:47 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000 block of Sweetgum Road, Rochester. A citizen reported fraud.
- 12:14 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 300 block of Main Street, Rochester. A woman came to the police station to report in September a person was scammed of approximately $25,000 from a person living in Illinois. The woman was advised it needed to be reported to law enforcement in Chicago.
- 11:10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 200 block of West Seventh Street, Rochester. Police were notified that rocks had been spray-painted. A report was requested.
- 6:27 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29. Officials at Dollar General reported a woman didn’t scan everything and had a basket full of items. A description was given of her clothing and vehicle.
- 12:48 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 1100 block of Valparaiso Street, Kewanna. A resident reported items were missing from his home. He called back several hours later and reported the missing items were found and he found it strange that he was gone a couple hours and when he returned home the items were there.
