WARSAW — Have you asked yourself, What book should I read next? Sometimes it is a hard question to answer. Ever wonder what your community is reading?

Warsaw Community Public Library is here to assist you with a list of the most popular top three fiction books and top three nonfiction books read by our patrons in 2023. The list is below.

Fiction

1. “Happy Place” by Emily Henry. The book is about a couple who broke up months ago by pretend to still be together for their annual weeklong vacation with their best friends. After years of being in love, how hard can it be to fake it for one week in front of those who know you best?
2. “Lessons in Chemistry” by Bonnie Garmus. Set in 1960s California, this blockbuster debut is the hilarious, idiosyncratic and uplifting story of a female scientist whose career is constantly derailed by the idea that a woman’s place is in the home, only to find herself starring as the host of America’s most beloved TV cooking show.
3. “Fourth Wing” by Rebecca Yarros. This book is about a young scribe who is thrust into an elite war college for dragon riders where the only rule is graduate or perish.

Nonfiction

1. “Spare” by Britain’s Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, the second son of King Charles III and his late wife Princess Diana. This book tells his own story, chronicling his journey with unflinching honesty. It’s full of insight, revelation, self-examination and wisdom about the eternal power of love over grief.
2.”Atomic Habits” by James Clear offers a proven framework for improving — every day. Clear, one of the world’s leading experts on habit formation, reveals practical strategies that teach you exactly how to form good habits, break bad ones and master the behaviors that lead to remarkable results.
3. “I’m Glad My Mom Died” by Jennette McCurdy is a heartbreaking and hilarious memoir that discusses McCurdy’s struggles as a former child actor and how she retook control of her life.
