North Webster Man Killed In Single Vehicle Crash

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — Matthew W. Abrams, 31, North Webster, was pronounced dead at the scene of a single vehicle crash Thursday, Dec. 21.
Abrams, who was pronounced dead by the Kosciusko County Coroner, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office reports the crash occurred on CR 200N, 1,700 feet west of SR 13. The call was received at 9:10 p.m.
Emergency personnel arrived on scene and located at 1995 Ford F250 pick up truck had struck a large tree.
Preliminary investigation determined the truck was eastbound on CR 200 and for an unknown reason, it left the southern edge of the roadway and struck a large tree.
Abrams was not wearing a seatbelt and was the only occupant of the vehicle.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Tippecanoe Township Fire Territory, Lutheran EMS, Pierceton Police Department, North Webster Police Department, Pierceton Fire Department, North Webster EMS, Kosciusko County 911 Dispatch Center, Raven’s Wrecker Service, and the Kosciusko County Coroner’s Office.
The crash remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office FACT team.
