Troy Hochstetler

Troy Hochstetler, 25, of Milford, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, in Portage, Wis., from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

He was born on Dec. 17, 1997, in Warsaw, to John Hochstetler and Stacie Bickel. He was a 2016 graduate of Fairfield High School, where he performed in the marching band. He was affectionately known as “Tuba Man.”

He worked in the shipping and receiving department at Zimmer-Biomet. He and his friends enjoyed playing various games and spending time together.

Troy is survived by his parents, Stacie (Tom) Trammel, and John (Sara) Hochstetler; grandfathers, Jonas Hochstetler and Lee Miller; and siblings, James (Waneta) Hochstetler, Arlin (Christa) Hochstetler, Katie Hochstetler, Jerry (Brenda) Hochstetler, Jonas (Eline) Hochstetler, John (Amber) Hochstetler Jr., Jeremy (Mistee) Napier, Courtland (Michelle) Vandiver, Kortney (Aaron) Edwards, Ashley (Taylor) Gerhart, Dune Trammel and Shantel Hochstetler. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 22, at the Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery.
