Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 3:16 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, North SR 15, east of West CR 900N, Milford. Drivers: Quentin R. Cook, 26, West Walnut Street, Nappanee; and Charles J. Miles, 55, Markle Avenue, Elkhart. Cook was traveling west on West CR 900N and did not see Miles traveling north on North SR 15. A head-on collision occurred. Damage up to $10,000.
- 7:08 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, East CR 150S, east of South Robinson Lake Road, Pierceton. Driver: Daniel H. Shepherd, 51, South Main Street 3, Columbia City. Shepherd’s vehicle left the roadway, hitting an REMC utility pole and overturning. He was later arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Damage up to $100,000.
- 6:49 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, North SR 19, north of West CR 1050N, Nappanee. Driver: Susan L. Stackhouse, 54, 8th Road, Bourbon. Stackhouse’s vehicle hit a horse. Damage up to $10,000.
- 1:29 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, North Lake Street, east of Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Driver: David L. Shoemaker, 53, North CR 175E, Warsaw. Shoemaker’s vehicle left the roadway. He was taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital for head and abdominal pain. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 10:29 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, East Center Street, west of North Indiana Street, Warsaw. Driver: unknown. A vehicle owned by Renee R. Guy, Warsaw, was parked and unoccupied when it was sideswiped by an unknown driver. Damage up to $2,500.
- 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 3825 US 30, Warsaw. Driver: Scott A. Helm, 62, Springriver Drive, Elkhart. Helm’s vehicle hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
- 7:01 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, SR 15, south of Fruitridge Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Lois E. McHenry, 75, Par Boulevard, Bristol. McHenry’s vehicle hit a deer. She complained of leg pain and was taken to Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital. Damage up to $10,000.
- 6:40 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 3350 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Amy M. Yoder, 46, Franklin Street, Goshen. Yoder was backing her vehicle from a parking space when she hit a cement post. Damage up to $5,000.
- 6:31 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, West Center Street, west of North Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Driver: Bryce L. LeDrew, 22, Monticello Drive, Stafford, Va. LeDrew was attempting to back his vehicle into a parking space when he hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:59 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, US 30, near Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Matthew T. Kissane, 53, Westlane Road, Fort Wayne; and Haili R. Davis, 26, West Eastbrook Street, Warsaw. Kissane was attempting to turn right onto Parker Street when he turned in front of Davis’ vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 10:26 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, Faunn Street, north of Krista Lane, Winona Lake. Driver: L.M. Pfister, 71, Faunn Street, Winona Lake. Pfister’s vehicle left the roadway and hit a multi-unit mailbox. Damage up to $10,000.
