Warsaw Woman Arrested For Dealing, Possessing Drugs

WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was recently arrested on drug charges.
Angelique Darlene Holmes, 35, 502 S. Union St. Apartment 4, Warsaw, is charged with dealing methamphetamine, a level 2 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a level 4 felony; possession of marijuana, a class B misdemeanor; possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor; and possession of marijuana with a prior conviction and possession of paraphernalia with a sentence enhancement, both class A misdemeanors.
On Dec. 7, an Indiana State Police trooper noticed a vehicle with expired plates traveling on SR 15. The officer pulled the vehicle over and identified Holmes as a passenger.
According to court documents, the trooper smelled marijuana inside the vehicle and noticed Holmes appeared to be stuffing something down her pants. He noticed a digital scale containing marijuana on Holmes’ person.
The trooper asked Holmes to remove the items she was hiding in her pants. Holmes removed drug paraphernalia, a vape cartridge, a bag containing 21 grams of meth, and 0.4 grams of marijuana.
Upon searching Holmes’ purse, officers found additional drug paraphernalia.
Holmes admitted the meth belonged to her and said she was going to deliver half of the amount she had to a friend.
Holmes has prior convictions for possessing marijuana, meth, and paraphernalia. She also has an active criminal case for drug possession.
Holmes was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Dec. 7, with a $52,500 surety and cash bond.
