LARWILL — After completion of her culinary pathway at Whitko Career Academy, Laura Lime began working at The Kitchen and Co. in Columbia City.

Lime hopes to one day open her own bakery. She said she treasures the time Jennifer Krider, owner of The Kitchen and Co., has spent with her. Laura’s role is very hands-on, and it changes daily based on the customer’s orders and special events.

Lime especially loves baking, and she plans to attend Ivy Tech’s culinary program after graduation.

The Work Based Learning program at Whitko Career Academy highlights various students who are participating in the program.
