Luis Angel Moyotl

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was recently arrested for allegedly battering a woman.

Luis Angel Moyotl, 40, 1261 N. Copeland St., Warsaw, is charged with domestic battery resulting in moderate bodily injury, domestic battery with a child under 16 present, and domestic battery with a prior conviction, all level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.

On Nov. 15, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy met with a woman at a local hospital about a battery which occurred in Warsaw. The woman said she was visiting Moyotl along with three children when a verbal argument began.

According to court documents, Moyotl punched the woman’s mouth twice and threw a cellphone at her. As a result, the woman sustained a laceration above her left eye.

Moyotl admitted to fighting with the woman.

He has a prior conviction for domestic battery in Kosciusko County from 2011.

Moyotl was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Dec. 8.
