Quilters Group Rehabbing Old Train Depot In Marion
Staff Report
MARION — The nonprofit Quilters Hall of Fame, based in Marion, is gradually working to restore the old train depot in Marion for use as a community and exhibit space.
The group acquired the rundown depot in 2016.
Exterior repairs have been accomplished with money from the Indiana Landmarks’ Endangered Places Loan Fund and from a benefactor.
Now the group is poised to begin interior restoration and hopes to open the depot in 2026.
