WARSAW — Members of Warsaw’s American Legion Post 49 held a ceremony in remembrance of those who lost their lives at Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.
Dec. 7, 2023, marks the 82nd anniversary of the Pearl Harbor bombing. The date is recognized nationally as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day to remember and honor Americans who were killed in the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor.

During the ceremony, a portion of former President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s speech about the attack was read and a prayer was said before a 21-gun salute and the playing of “Taps.”
