Two From Syracuse Injured After Head-On Collision North Of Milford

NEW PARIS — Two people from Syracuse were injured after a head-on collision north of Milford, in Elkhart County.
At 9:09 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, emergency personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident at US 6, east of the intersection of CR 25, New Paris.
According to a press release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, Dalton Higgins, 23, Syracuse, was traveling on US 6 in a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse when he drove left of center for unknown reasons. His vehicle hit a 2023 Kia Sorento driven by Sherisa Anjanette, 46, Syracuse. Higgins’ and Anjanette’s vehicles hit head-on.
No statements could be taken from the drivers due to their injuries.
Higgins was taken by ambulance to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne for entire body injuries. Anjanette was flown to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne for entire body injuries.
Law enforcement action is pending through the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.
