Gary Arlen Barnes, 86, Columbia City, died at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec 2, 2023, at Miller’s at Oak Pointe, Columbia City.

He was born Nov. 30, 1937. On Aug. 28, 1964, he married Vonda L. Knox, who preceded him in death Nov. 16, 2023.

He is survived by his children, Jill (Timothy) Hart of Churubusco, Jonathan Jefferies, Columbia City, and Richard Jarrod Barnes, Albion; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Gloria E. Rider, Columbia City.
