Dorothy Teeple

Dorothy L. Teeple, 93, passed away on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at Paddock Springs Assisted Living in Warsaw.

She was born on July 18, 1930, to Donald Sr. and Geneva (Wyland) Miller in Warsaw. She graduated from Warsaw High School with the class of 1948.

Dorothy married Donald L. Teeple on May 23, 1953. They would share 53 years of marriage before his passing on June 24, 2006.

Dorothy worked for Woodie’s Supermarket in Warsaw as a bookkeeper and cashier, as well as doing bookkeeping for Indiana Restaurant Equipment.

She was born during the Depression and was raised to have a strong work ethic, organized, and also to be careful in her spending. Dorothy was feisty, loving, and very active until her late 80s. She enjoyed playing Bingo at the Senior Center to win the $1 prizes and then later playing at Paddock Springs. She spent her free time watching game shows, doing puzzles up until the end, and loved country music.

She is survived by two children: Diane Teeple of Warsaw and Larry (Lori) Teeple of Milford, two grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Dorothy was also proceeded in death by her husband, infant daughter Elaine and daughter Pamela Teeple, a brother and sister.

Private graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
