Janet Marie (Wilhelm) Claxton, 75, Columbia City, died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital.

She was born June 11, 1948. On April 22, 1967, she married Edwin L. Claxton, who survives.

She also is survived by her son, Scott (Jodi) Claxton, Columbia City; daughter, Denise Claxton, Columbia City; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, James (Karen) Wilhelm, Doyle Wilhelm and Jerome Wilhelm; sisters-in-law, Roberta Bolen, Marie (Roy) McCaulley, Tina (David) Zaugg, Lisa (Edward) Moser and Rebecca (Joel) Tubbs; several nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, Columbia City, is handling arrangements.
