Tilden-Geiger Resigns From Valley PR Role For New Job

MENTONE — Lori Tilden-Geiger has opted to resign from her Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. public relations role for a new job.
At its regular board meeting on Monday, Nov. 20, the TVSC Board accepted her resignation.

Tilden-Geiger, who co-owns The Grounded Coffee House at The Depot in Akron with her husband, DeLynn Geiger, is taking on the part-time role of volunteer coordinator for the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum.
Before the board accepted Tilden-Geiger’s resignation, several people spoke, thanking her for the work she’d done as the TVSC director of marketing, public relations and grants.
One of them was Board Member Tom Bauters, who thanked her for helping the corporation get money for projects through grants and mentioned as head of public relations she was “the first friendly face” people would meet.
“She’s made such a big difference for our school corporation,” he said.
“No one cares more about Valley than you,” said TVSC Superintendent Blaine Conley.
Tilden-Geiger thanked the board for its “trust and support,” mentioning she was “proud of” what she and the corporation had been able to do “over the past five and a half years.”
No announcement was made at the meeting regarding Tilden-Geiger’s replacement.
In other business, the board:
- Accepted a $300 anonymous donation for Burket Educational Center.
The board’s next regular meeting is 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at Mentone Elementary School.
