News Release
NORTH WEBSTER — The North Webster Community Public Library is proud to feature the talents of local teen Symin Dawson, whose innovative creations are wowing visitors. At just 16 years old, Dawson has become a local sensation with his unique approach to crafting sci-fi costumes, cosplay gear and original board games.
Dawson’s artistic journey began during his family’s four-year stay in Virginia. Faced with limited entertainment options, he discovered a passion for creative expression. “I found a way to be creative on my own,” Dawson shared, highlighting the resourcefulness that sparked his artistic endeavors.
Utilizing materials such as foam, wood, putty, PVC and plastics, Dawson meticulously crafts his sci-fi wonders. His favorite creations, the elaborate costume items, are a testament to his dedication and ingenuity. Visitors to the library can now view Dawson’s work, which will be on display through the end of the year.
