Alberta J. Nichols, 83, Columbia City, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023, at The Waters, Columbia City.

She was born June 12, 1940.

She is survived by her children, Deborah (Rick) Seymour, Columbia City, Annette (Jeff) Walters, Winona Lake, Sherrie (Bill) Gipson, Atkins, Ark., Darla (Chris) Briggs, Fort Wayne, Deb Stoppenhagen, Churubusco, Dede Altimus, Port Charlotte, Fla., and Sally Baldridge, Columbia City; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Marcia Gawthrop, Rose Tucker and Fred Gawthrop, all of Columbia City.
