FORT WAYNE — Shadarobah Horse Rescue has once again been contacted for assistance in a neglect case.
Due to the ongoing investigation, details are extremely limited at this time.
On Saturday, Nov. 11, Shadarobah posted on their Facebook page that they received a phone call “for help, for sanctuary and rescue, and our incredible teams answered. Haulers were coordinated, and some of our best horsemen and women arrived on scene to catch the scared, neglected and hungry.”
Shadarobah has taken in three horses, a pony and a miniature donkey weanling.
The rescue group is in urgent need of assistance from the community.
“We desperately need your help to save the lives of another large herd. Because of the ongoing investigation, we cannot release details — other than we need you. We need you to link arms with us and share the word. Share their stories and help us be their voice that this is wrong.
We need help gathering supplies and funding their care. It’s obvious they need groceries, like hay and Purina Senior Feed, but they also need Panacur and Ivermectin. They need their vaccines and teeth evaluated. Our farrier has already been called to help get their feet back to how they should be. We need a lot of funding to get them rehabilitated. Can you help? Be the voice of justice for these sweet souls.”
