Morton Wins A Seat On Claypool Town Council Alongside Winning Incumbents

CLAYPOOL — Nate Morton joins incumbents Benny Stage and Eugene Warner on Claypool town council, with Patricia Warner winning the race for Town Clerk Treasurer.
There were eight people running in the election.
For Town Clerk Tresurer:
- Republican, Miranda Stage
- Libertarian, Patricia Warner
For Town Council:
- Republican, Nate Morton
- Democrat, Elizabeth Heiman
- Republican, Benny Stage Jr.
- Republican, Paul Mullins
- Republican, Eugene Warner
- Democrat, Dave Morgan
With a total of 47 votes in the race for Town Clerk Treasurer, Miranda Stage received 22 votes and Patricia Warner received 25.
The total for the Claypool Town Council Center District was 49 votes, Morton received 27 votes and Heiman received 22.
For the Claypool Town Council North District, there was also 49 votes, with Stage receiving 25 votes and Mullins 24.
The Claypool Town Council South District there were 50 votes, with Warner receiving 33 votes and Morgan receiving 17.
Patricia Warner said [on winning], “I am definitely letting it sink in. I appreciate the townspeople who voted for me and I will continue to serve the people as I have for the next 8 years.”
Benny Stage Jr. spoke of his win, saying, “I look forward to getting back with the board and continuing on with the different projects we have going on in the town currently and in the future.”
Nate Morton and Eugene Warner were unavailable for comment.
