Galen J. Baumgartner, 87, Bluffton, died Thursday morning, Nov. 2, 2023, at home.

He was born Jan. 17, 1936. On Dec. 25, 1958, he married Joyce Isch, who survives.

He also is survived by three sons, Brad (Michelle) Baumgartner, Kirk (Laurie) Baumgartner and Tad (Stephanie) Baumgartner, all of Bluffton; two daughters, Gayla (Steve) Gerber, Bluffton, and Lesley (John) Kintz, Decatur; three sisters, Helen Woodward, Bluffton, Anna Rose Lloyd, Clarksville, Ga., and Lois (Lloyd) Tackwell, Fort Wayne; one brother, Gene (Elaine) Baumgartner, Syracuse; one sister-in-law, Marjorie Baumgartner, Bluffton; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
