Tracy L. Bellamy

Tracy Lynn (Ousley) Landis Bellamy, of Claypool, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne, at the age of 52. She was a strong, beautiful soul, who lived her life loving those near and dear to her with all of her heart. God had other plans for Tracy and called her home to be with her Lord and Savior.

She was born on March 5, 1971, in Warsaw, to Daisy Novella (Owens) George and Dan Ousley. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. On June 25, 2022, she was blessed to have found someone to share her life with again and married John Darrell Bellamy, who survives.

Tracy loved animals and had been rescuing pit bulls for many years that have been neglected, abused and discarded by society. Second Chance Abuse Recovery Services (S.C.A.R.S) was a passion born by Tracy in 2010. She made it her mission to educate the public and give as many pit bulls as possible a new chance at life and with her big heart she saved 350 dogs. She loved being outdoors, gardening and landscaping. Tracy and her husband, John, re-landscaped the whole property together and enjoyed every minute they spent together. She enjoyed trying new things and as of late she loved doing crafts, laser crafts, candle making and refurbishing vintage furniture. She worked for many years as a manager at Zimmer Biomet in Warsaw. Most recently she worked as a bail bond agent at America Bonding Co. in Fort Wayne.

Tracy had a great sense of humor and she made a big impact on this world in her 52 years. She spent her time on this earth living her life to the fullest and truly enjoyed being there for her family and loved being a grandmother. She was always available for her family when needed, especially when it came to her grandchildren and attending as many events and activities they were involved in. Tracy never missed a ballgame, and they knew grandma was in the stands because she was the loudest cheerleader of them all. She always had enough love to give and will be forever missed by those who were fortunate to have known her.

Tracy was the love of John’s life. She was a very unique woman; she loved with everything within her. Tracy always wanted a soft top Jeep Wrangler, and he made sure that she got one; it was her joy to take the top down and go driving with messy hair. She loved the LA Dodgers, and she and John made several trips to Major League Baseball parks to watch them. She and John also enjoyed ice fishing together. “There will always be a huge void in my life that can never be filled. Until we see each other again Baby, I Love You with all of my heart and soul! Love John.”

She leaves behind her husband, John D. Bellamy, Claypool; three sons, Blake (Molly) Landis, North Webster, Dakoda Landis, Warsaw, and Austin Jake Landis, Portage; four stepsons, Austin (Brittany) Bellamy, Wabash, Justin (Ohan) Bellamy, Katy, Texas, Brandon Bellamy, Warsaw, and Dylan (Deidra) Bellamy, North Manchester; and two stepdaughters, Hannah Bellamy, North Manchester, and Reenie Bellamy, Claypool. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Ryder and Raina Landis and Paislee Bowyer; five step-grandchildren; father and stepmother, Dan and Sue Ousley, Silver Lake; mother, Daisy N. George, Warsaw; brother, Mike Ousley, Claypool; two stepbrothers, Curtis (Mary Beth) Slone, Villa Rica, Ga., and Trent Slone, Silver Lake; and two stepsisters, Diane (Marty) Shepherd, Georgia, and Anita Neeley, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Odis and Susie Ousley, Lenzie and Earcell Owens and her stepfather, Gene George.

Friends and family may visit from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw. Tracy’s life will be celebrated with a service at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County, 58 W. 700S, Claypool, and officiated by Pastor Terry Bradford. A graveside service will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Claypool.
