Jerry S. Shenefield, 91, LaFontaine, died at 9:07 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 26, 2023, at home.

He was born Aug. 26, 1932. On April 13, 1952, he married Rita Mae Ricks, and they had five children. On Nov. 26, 1969, he married Virginia Snodgrass, and they had two children; she preceded him in death in 2008.

He is survived by three sons, Jay (Cindy) Shenefield, LaFontaine, Alan (Marianne) Shenefield, Marion, and Ed (Michelle) Shenefield, Marion; four daughters, Debra (Terry) Powell, Marion, Denise (Charles) Enyeart, Wabash, Dawn (Keith) Dennison, Wabash, and Donna (Ben) Slocum, Niles, Mich.; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; one brother, Don Shenefield, LaFontaine; one sister, Ann Miltenberger, Marion; and special friend, Cindy Smith.
